CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Men’s Indoor Track & Field teams competed in week one of the 2025-26 season.

Athletes of the Week: 
Men’s Throws Athlete of the Week:
Tommy Wilmoth (Magnolia, Ky.) Hanover College | Throws | Junior - Tommy Wilmoth had a strong showing on Saturday at the Fightin' Engineers Invitational, finishing second overall with a school record toss of 16.00m. His throw also ranks seventh in all of NCAA Division III.

Men’s Jumps Athlete of the Week:
James Kaunas (Johnsburg, Ill.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Jumps | Senior - James Kaunas was exceptional in Rose-Hulman's home opener. He landed two event wins in the team's first meet of the season in the triple jump (12.45 meters, 40' 10.25") and the long jump (6.14 meters, 20' 1.75"). These marks are the best in their individual events across the entire conference so far this season. The team ended the meet with a first-place finish.

Men's Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Week:
Myles Baker (Henryville, Ind.) Franklin College | Sprints | Freshman - Myles Baker made his collegiate debut at the Fightin' Engineers Invitational. He clocked in at 7.14 in the 60m prelims and then came back to win the final in 7.08. That time ranks third in Franklin College indoor history and is currently second on the HCAC list.

Men's Distance Athlete of the Week:
Alejandro Clark (Hanford, Calif.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Distance | Junior - Alejandro Clark earned an event win to help Rose-Hulman claim first place in its home opener. Clark placed first in the mile run with a time of 4:35.18. This is the fastest time in the event across the entire conference so far this season.

  • Antoine Cooper (Indianapolis, Ind.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Throws | Senior - Antoine Cooper was the top thrower for Rose-Hulman in its first-place finish at the Fightin' Engineers Invitational. Cooper earned a third-place finish in the weight throw with a mark of 13.97m. He also earned a sixth-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 13.58m. His mark in the weight throw ranks third and his result in the shot put ranks fourth in the conference so far this season.

  • Connor Bodie (Melville, N.Y.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Sprints | Junior - Connor Bodie was the top sprinter for Rose-Hulman in its first home meet of the season. Bodie placed third in the 400m dash with a time of 52.97. His time ranks second across the HCAC so far this season.
