HCAC 2025-26 Women's Indoor Track & Field Notebook, Week 6

CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Women’s Indoor Track & Field teams competed in week six of the 2025-26 season.

Athletes of the Week: 
Women’s Throws Athlete of the Week:
Lai'Lonie Waller-Thomas (Fort Wayne, Ind.) Anderson University | Throws | Freshman - Lai'Lonie Waller-Thomas had a 1.64m improvement in the weight throw. Her throw broke the Anderson school record by 1.04m and put her in the lead in the HCAC. She is also ranked first in the region, fifth on the HCAC list, 36th in Division III. She is the only freshman in the top-50.

Women’s Jumps Athlete of the Week:
Isa Slone (Oakwood, Ohio) Earlham College | Jumps | Senior - Isa Slone re-broke her own school record again this weekend marking the fourth time she has done so this season. She set the new mark at 5.29m. She was second in the event and was the top HCAC finisher. Her jump also tied her for 10th all-time in the HCAC.

Women's Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Week:
Rose Talbert (Monticello, Ill.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Sprints | Junior - Rose Talbert had a record-breaking performance for Rose-Hulman this past weekend. Talbert broke her own school record in the 400m dash with a time of 57.39. Her time on a banked track converts to 58.16, which is the fastest time in the conference this season. Her time also ranks 43rd in all of NCAA Division III so far this season.

Women's Distance Athlete of the Week:
Jocelyn Onstot (Cary, Ill.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Distance | Junior - Jocelyn Onstot led the distance team for Rose-Hulman with a record-breaking performance in the mile at the Grand Valley State Big Meet. Onstot broke the Rose-Hulman record in the event, going sub-five, with a time of 4:54.32. The time on a banked track converts to 4:57.24 and is the fastest time in the conference this season by more than 10 seconds. Her time ranks 17th in all of NCAA Division III.

Notable Performances:
Throws
  • Timeria Jackson (Hot Springs, Ark.) Berea College | Throws | Senior - Timeria Jackson left Centre College with two new personal bests. She threw 8.44m in the shot put and followed it up with 9.90m in the weight throw.
  • Charlotte Wilson (Kalamazoo, Mich.) Manchester University | Throws | Senior - Charlotte Wilson threw her season bests in both the weight throw and shot put this week. Her weight throw of 13.59m currently ranks seventh in the HCAC, while her shot put mark of 11.32m is fourth.
  • Asia Branch (Columbus, Ohio) Mount St. Joseph University | Throws | Senior - Asia Brank finished ninth at the Division III All-Ohio Championship in the weight throw. She threw a new school record of 14.87m in the process. She is now ranked fourth in the HCAC.
  • Carolina Snyder-Perez (Houston, Texas) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Throws | Senior - Carolina Snyder-Perez was the top thrower for Rose-Hulman this weekend. At the DePauw Invite, Snyder-Perez finished ninth in the shot put with a mark of 10.46m. She also finished 10th in the weight throw with a mark of 12.56m. Her mark in the shot put ranks 10th in the conference.
Jumps
  • Arianna Cooper (Douglasville, Ga.) Berea College | Jumps | Freshman - Arianna Cooper set a personal best in the long jump and her second longest mark in the triple jump at the Centre Indoor Invitational. Cooper jumped 5.10m to take seventh place at the Invitational, which set a new lifetime best for her. She followed that up by jumping 10.75m in the triple jump to take second overall. 
  • Alaina Kellerman (Williamsburg, Ohio) Franklin College | Jumps | Freshman - Alaina Kellerman had a career day at the Depauw Invitational. She cleared 3.07m in the pole vault, which broke the Franklin indoor school record from 2014. Her mark puts her at second in the HCAC. She also had a season best in the high jump with a leap of 1.48m, which is currently tied for sixth in the HCAC.
  • Irene Lema Madueno (Arcadia, Calif.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Jumps | Junior - Irene Lema Madueno was a standout for Rose-Hulman, placing second in the pole vault at the DePauw Invitational after clearing a height of 3.22m. The mark is the best in the HCAC this season.
Sprints/Hurdles
  • Oriana Perez Pena (Austin, Texas) Manchester University | Sprints | Freshman - Oriana Perez Pena continued her successful freshman campaign, running a PR in the 60m at the Centre Indoor Invitational. She ran 8.32 and finished ninth overall.
  • Women’s 4x200m Relay Manchester University | Sprints - Manchester’s women’s 4x200m relay of Jay'ana Blakely, Sophie Minnick, Coco Truelove, and Imari Francis ran the second-fastest time in school history. They are currently seeded third in the HCAC with a time of 1:51.49.
  • Hannah Cox (Elizabethtown, Ky.) Transylvania University | Sprints | Sophomore - Hannah Cox ran a personal-best of 1:01.68 over 400m at the Centre Indoor Invitational.
Distance
  • Hattie Harlow (Russiaville, Ind.) Anderson University | Distance | Freshman - Hattie Harlow had a 16-second PR to hit the HCAC standard in the mile. She completed the race in 5:45.80.
  • Brooke Donley (Moscow, Ohio) Berea College | Distance | Senior - Brooke Donley raced at the Centre Indoor Invitational and posted a life-time best of 6:20.12 in the mile.
  • Raiden Norris (Michigantown, Ind.) Manchester University | Distance | Sophomore - Raiden Norris ran a 10-second lifetime PR in the 800m over the weekend. Her time of 2:30.02 ranks her sixth in the conference.
  • Amanda Zerhusen (Cincinnati, Ohio) Mount St. Joseph University | Distance | Sophomore - Amanda Zerhusen won the 5K at the Division III All-Ohio Meet, while running an 18:36. Zerhusen outpaced the field by nearly 20 seconds.
  • Ella Detjen (Lexington, Ky.) Transylvania University | Distance | First-year - Ella Detjen ran 17:39.46 this weekend at the Vanderbilt Music City Challenge. Her mark is currently third in the Great Lakes Region, the third fastest performance in HCAC history, and broke the previous TU school record by more than 80 seconds.
