HCAC 2025-26 Women's Indoor Track & Field Notebook, Week 7

CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Women’s Indoor Track & Field teams competed in week seven of the 2025-26 season.

Athletes of the Week: 
Women’s Throws Athlete of the Week:
Katrina Sejour (Logansport, Ind.) Manchester University | Throws | Junior - Katrina Sejour had a weight throw mark of 15.07m, which was her season best in the event and currently ranks her third in the conference.
Women’s Jumps Athlete of the Week:
Irene Lema Madueno (Arcadia, Calif.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Jumps | Junior - Irene Lema Madueno had a record-breaking performance in the pole vault at the Indiana State Open on Saturday. Lema Madueno broke the Rose-Hulman school record in the event after clearing a height of 3.36m. This breaks the Rose-Hulman record that dates back to 2016. Lema Madueno's finish is the best mark across the entire HCAC this season in the event.

Women's Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Week:
Alex Mast (Bloomington, Ind.) Franklin College | Sprints | Freshman - Alexandria Mast had a record setting day for Franklin at the Wittenberg Invitational. She ran a 400m PR, clocking in at 59.65. This time puts her at No. 9 HCAC all-time and broke the Franklin school record from 2015.
Women's Distance Athlete of the Week:
Amanda Zerhusen (Cincinnati, Ohio) Mount St. Joseph University | Distance | Sophomore - Amanda Zerhusen won the 3K and the mile run at The Last Roar Indoor. She broke her own school record in the mile at 5:26.89. Her time ranks her in the top-10 in the HCAC in both races.


Notable Performances:
Throws
  • Peyton Bundy (Fairborn, Ohio) Anderson University | Throws | Junior - Peyton Bundy had two PRs in shot put and weight throw to get 8.88m and 11.27m, respectively. Both marks were 0.20m PRs.
  • Madalyn Hudnall (Waldron, Ind.) Mount St. Joseph University | Throws | Senior - Madalyn Hudnall was the runner-up over the weekend in the shot put with a mark of 11.73m.
  • Carolina Snyder-Perez (Houston, Texas) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Throws | Senior - Carolina Snyder-Perez recorded two top-ten finishes at the Indiana State Open. She placed seventh in the shot put with a throw of 10.03m and 10th in the weight throw with a throw of 12.73m.

Jumps
  • Samantha Stetzel (Huntington, Ind.) Franklin College | Jumps | Freshman - Samantha Stetzel jumped two PRs this weekend. Her high jump of 1.53m is currently third in the conference and ranks sixth-best in school history. Her triple jump PR of 9.56m puts her at fourth in the conference.

Sprints/Hurdles
  • Naomi Hoover (Columbus, Ohio) Anderson University | Sprints | Freshman - Naomi Hoover had a two-second PR in the 400m to get the conference standard at 1:04.76.
  • Sophie Minnick (North Liberty, Ind.) Manchester University | Sprints | Sophomore - Sophie Minnick ran over a second PR in the 200m over the weekend, setting a new school record. Her time of 26.93 ranks fifth in the conference.
  • Sydney Williams (Cincinnati, Ohio) Mount St. Joseph University | Sprints | Junior - Sydney Williams won the 60m dash and improved on her school record time running a 8.20. She is now tied for tenth best in the conference rankings.
  • Rose Talbert (Monticello, Ill.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Sprints | Junior - Rose-Talbert recorded a second-place finish in both of her events at the Indiana State Open. She surpassed the previous meet record with a time of 58.24 in the 400m, while also recording a time of 25.72 in the 200m. Her time in the 200 is the fastest time in the conference this season.
  • Jatajza Pinkney (Lexington, Ky.) Transylvania University | Sprints | Sophomore - Jatajza Pinkney had a breakout performance at the Wittenberg Invitational, running 61.77 over 400m which is an over three second personal best.
Distance
  • Wynn Wellington (Goshen, Ind.) Franklin College | Distance | Senior - Wynn Wellington had a big career performance at the Wittenberg Invitational. Her time of 11:13.59 was a 33 second PR and moved onto the all-time FC list at No. 9.
  • Ava Egolf (North Manchester, Ind.) Manchester University | Distance | Sophomore - Ava Egolf ran an 11-second season PR in the mile this weekend. Her time of 5:20.80 ranks her fifth in the conference. 
  • Jocelyn Onstot (Cary, Ill.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Distance | Junior - Jocelyn Onstot recorded a third-place finish in the 800m run at the Indiana State Open with a time of 2:19.21. Her time is the fastest in the conference, trailing only her previous time of 2:16.25 set earlier this season at the Rose-Hulman Classic.
  • Kelsey Weil (Florence, Ky.) Transylvania University | Distance | Sophomore - Kelsey Weil ran an over nine-second personal best in the mile at Wittenberg Invitational, finishing in 5:42.77.
