Men's Track and Field 5/29/2025 9:00:00 AM Four HCAC Athletes Earn All-American Honors at 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships GENEVA, Ohio – Four athletes from Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) member institutions brought home All-American honors on the final night of competition at the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships last Saturday night at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. Desmond Gist (Detroit, Mich.) from Bluffton University finished with First Team All-American honors in the 110 meter Hurdles, finishing in 5th place with a time of 14.24 seconds. With this time, Gist continues to sit at the No. 1 spot in HCAC history, after bettering his own conference record. Manchester University's distance runner Connor Havens (LaPorte, Ind.) brought home Second Team All-America honors with a 15th place finish in the 5,000m after running a time of 14:30.56. In the 10,000m, Havens finished in 19th place with a time of 31:32.25. On the women's side, Manchester's Carley Camp (Logansport, Ind.) competed at the national championships competition in the shot put and placed 11th, with a distance of 13.70 meters. That finish was good enough to earn Second Team All-American honors. On the track, Rose-Hulman sophomore standout, Rose Talbert (Monticello, Ill.), finished in 4th place in the 400 meter dash with a time of 54.62 to also earn a spot on the First Team All-American team. This run keeps Talbert at the No. 1 spot all time in the conference record books. Other Notable Performances from HCAC Participants: Tommy Wilmoth (Magnolia, Ky.) Hanover College - Tommy competed in the Shot Put and placed 19th with a toss of 15.93 meters. Antoine Cooper (Indianapolis, Ind.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology - Antoine competed in the discus and placed 21st with a throw of 39.85 meters. Madalyn Hudnall (Waldron, Ind.) Mount St. Joseph University - Madalyn competed in the Javelin and placed 19th with a throw of 35.63 meters. About the 2025 All-American Team: All-America honors for the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Season were announced Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA). Athletes of member institutions who finished in the top-8 of their respective individual events and as part of a relay team at the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships earned First-Team All-America honors. Those who finished ninth through 16th individually and ninth through 12th as part of a relay team were named Second-Team All-America.
