CARMEL, Ind. – Seven Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) individuals qualified for the
2025 NCAA Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field National Championship.
The 2025 NCAA DIII Outdoor Track and Field Championships will take place on May 22-24 in Geneva, Ohio at the SPIRE Institute.
On the women’s side, Manchester University’s
Carley Camp (Logansport, Ind.) will represent the Spartans in the women’s shot put competition, where the senior is the No. 17 seed with a throw of 13.97 meters.
Mount St. Joseph University's
Madalyn Hudnall (Waldron, Ind.) will compete in the women's Javelin Throw where she is seeded No. 20 with a throw of 41.27 meters.
Rose-Hulman's
Rose Talbert (Monticello, Ill.) will compete in the 400m where she is seeded No.11 with a time of 54.98.
For the men, four different student athletes will represent the Heartland. Leading the charge on the track is Manchester’s
Connor Havens (LaPorte, Ind.), who will race in the men’s 5,000 meter and 10,000 meter events. The fifth year was named this Most Outstanding Distance Athlete of the meet at this year's HCAC Championships and enters the 2025 NCAA Division III Championship as the No. 22 seed with a qualifying time of 14:11.99 and is seeded No. 16 with a qualifying time of 29:45.29 in the 5k and 10k, respectively.
Also featured on the Track will be Bluffton University senior,
Desmond Gist (Detroit, Mich.). Gist will compete in the men’s 110 hurdles, where his time of 14.28 earned him the No. 19 seed.
Representing Rose-Hulman in the men's discus is
Antoine Cooper (Indianapolis, Ind.). Cooper qualified for the event with a throw of 51.61 meters, earning him the No. 14 seed.
The final HCAC competitor in the NCAA Championship field hails from Hanover.
Tommy Wilmoth (Magnolia, Ky.) earned his spot in the field of championship contenders in the men’s shot put. The sophomore enters the competition at the No. 19 seed, with a mark of 16.59 meters.
