GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Rose-Hulman men's swimmer
Vineet Ranade has been named the recipient of the NCAA Elite 90 Award at the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Swimming & Diving Championships.
The senior computer engineering major currently carries a 4.0 GPA. He was presented with the award during the national meet on Friday, March 21, in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The Elite 90 Award is a prestigious accolade that is given to the student-athlete competing in each of the NCAA's 90 championships with the highest cumulative GPA. Eligible student-athletes are sophomores or above and all ties are broken by the number of credits completed.
Ranade has been a standout for the Fightin' Engineers all season long. The Mountain View, California native was named the 2025 HCAC Swimmer of the Year after winning seven HCAC Championships and setting six school records.
He becomes the first Rose-Hulman swimmer to win the Elite 90 Award and only the second student-athlete in Rose-Hulman history to receive the honor from the NCAA. He joins men's golfer Max Gogel, who earned the award during the 2020-21 season.
Ranade is also only the fourth student-athlete from the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference to earn the prestigious recognition.
