HCAC 2025-26 Women's Tennis Notebook, Week 17

CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Women's Tennis teams competed in week 17 of the 2025-26 season.

Athlete of the Week:
Emerson Donaldson (Greenwood, Ind.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Sophomore - Emerson Donaldson was a standout for Rose-Hulman in its two conference wins over Hanover and Manchester this week. Donaldson went a perfect 4-0, picking up wins at No. 1 singles in each match, No. 2 doubles against Manchester, and No. 3 doubles against Hanover. Donaldson helped the Fightin' Engineers secure the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in the HCAC Tournament.

Notable Performances:
  • Ella Frantz (Gas City, Ind.) Anderson University | Senior - Ella Frantz won both of her matches at the No. 1's against Transylvania. Frantz and her partner secured a 6-4 win against the Pioneers No. 1 doubles team. Frantz then took a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 1 singles.
  • Lawrencia Manu (Ashaiman, Ghana) Earlham College | Sophomore - Lawrencia Manu scored two dominant wins over Franklin to lock Earlham into the No.4 seed in the conference tournament. Manu won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, and paired up for a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles. The Quakers took the match 6-1 over Franklin on Saturday.
  • Ellie Held (San Antonio, Texas) Transylvania University | Sophomore - Ellie Held remained unbeaten in HCAC competition, while also keeping Transylvania undefeated in HCAC play, with a win at No. doubles (6-1) and No. 4 singles (6-3,6-1).
