PENDLETON, Ind. – No. 2 seed Rose-Hulman won the 2026 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Women’s Tennis Championship on Sunday afternoon, defeating top-seeded Transylvania, 4-1.
The Engineers got the day started by winning the doubles point. Paige Mills and
Camille Clark took care of business on court three with a 6-0 sweep, while RHIT’s No. 2 duo of
Emerson Donaldson and
Nova Gladden earned a 6-3 win.
Lia Taylor and
Addie Patterson held a 5-4 lead on court one when the point was decided.
Gladden was the first to secure a point in singles play with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6. He victory was succeeded by Autumn Korey’s 6-0, 6-0 decision at No. 5.
The Pioneers were able to keep the match alive Maddy Williams winning the match on court three, 6-2, 6-0 before Donaldson was able to clinch the decision with a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 2.
Donaldson was selected as the Tournament MVP for her contributions.
As the conference champion, Rose-Hulman earns the conference’s automatic qualification into the 2026 NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Championship. The tournament field will be announced on Monday, May 4 at noon during the NCAA.com Selection Show.
