HCAC 2025-26 Women's Tennis Notebook, Week 16

CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Women's Tennis teams competed in week 16 of the 2025-26 season.

Athlete of the Week:
Paulina Razo-Zapata (San Antonio, Texas) Transylvania University | Sophomore - Paulina Razo-Zapata secured a massive win against Franklin, clinching the regular season conference title with a 6-2 win at one doubles and a win at one doubles 6-0, 7-5.

Notable Performances:
  • Ella Frantz (Gas City, Ind.) Anderson University | Senior - Ella Frantz won her No. 1 singles match and No. 1 doubles match against Rose-Hulman. Frantz and her partner fought past Rose-Hulman's No. 1 duo to a 7-5 result. Frantz then battled past Rose-Hulman’s No. 1 6-2, 6-3 in singles play.
  • Lawrencia Manu (Ashaiman, Ghana) Earlham College | Sophomore - Lawrencia Manu helped Earlham to a 2-0 week with her play at No. 2 singles. Manu scored a 6-1, 6-2 win against IU East and a 6-0, 6-1 win at Manchester.
  • Emma Tranter (Brownsburg, Ind.) Franklin College | Freshman - Emma Tranter was 2-0 in Franklin's sweep of Manchester, rolling to a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles and teaming up for a 6-3 victory at No. 1 doubles. She was in a third set against Transylvania when that match was halted.
  • Grace Keener (Leo, Ind.) Manchester University | Sophomore - Grace Keener led the charge for Manchester on Sunday. Keener paired up for a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles. Keener then went 6-1, 2-6, 6-1 at No. 1 singles to help the team get their first win of the season against Berea.
  • Emerson Donaldson (Greenwood, Ind.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Sophomore - Emerson Donaldson had a strong performance in Rose-Hulman's victory over Anderson with a final score of 5-2. Donaldson teamed up to earn a win at No. 3 doubles with a score of 6-2. She then picked up a win at No. 2 singles with scores of 4-6, 6-0, 6-2.
