HCAC 2026 Women's Outdoor Track & Field Notebook, Week 5

CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Women’s Outdoor Track & Field teams competed in week five of the 2026 season.

Athletes of the Week: 
Women’s Throws Athlete of the Week:
Abbi Kohler (Warsaw, Ind.) Manchester University | Throws | Sophomore - Abbigal Kohler threw a personal best in hammer at 48.16m, which places her at top 60 in the nation, #3 in Great Lakes Region, and #3 in HCAC this season. She sits at #9 in the HCAC All-Time Record Book and #4 in Manchester's Record Book in Hammer. She also threw her season best in discus at 37.99m which placed her at #1 in the HCAC this season. 

Women’s Jumps Athlete of the Week:
Grace Tincher (Palmyra, Ind.) Franklin College | Jumps | Freshman - Tincher had a nice day in the jumps at IN Little State. Her jump of 5.78m is a new HCAC record, #2 in the GL region, and currently tied for #7 NCAA DIII. She also went 1.54m in the high jump which currently has her at #3 HCAC heading into conference weekend. 

Women's Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Week:
Peyton Tan (Houston, Texas) Transylvania University | Sprints | Junior - Peyton had an awesome evening at the Centre Twilight where she recorded personal bests in both the 400m and 100H. She ran 61.82 over 400m which takes off over 1.3 seconds from her previous best. She also ran 18.98 in the hurdles, a PB by .65 seconds. 

Women's Distance Athlete of the Week:
Kaycee Moore (Morehead, Ky.) Transylvania University | Distance | Senior - Kaycee broke 2:20 over 800m for the first time in her career, running 2:19.87 at Centre Twilight. Her mark is a new TU school record and is currently 4th in the conference.

Notable Performances:
Throws
  • Sophie Rawlings (Orlando, Fla.) Mount St. Joseph University | Throws | Freshman - Sophie finished runner-up over the weekend at Centre in the shot put.  Her best throw broke her own school record and keeps her in the lead for conference rankings. 12.96m is also tied for 7th best in the region.
  • Carolina Snyder-Perez (Houston, Texas) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Throws | Senior - Carolina Snyder-Perez placed 8th in the discus throw at the Indiana Little State Championships with a throw of 120' 2".
Jumps
  • Rebecca Johnson (New Palestine, Ind.) Manchester University | Jumps | Sophomore - Rebecca Johnson jumped a 10cm PR in pole vault to place 4th at the Mike Becraft Invite. This jump is also 6th in school history and 4th in the HCAC this year.
  • Londyn Frazier (Erlanger, Ky.) Mount St. Joseph University | Jumps | Senior - Londyn set a personal best in the Triple Jump event over the weekend. The mark moves her to 7th in the HCAC.
  • Irene Lema Madueno (Arcadia, Calif.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Jumps | Junior - Irene Lema Madueno set the Rose-Hulman school record in the pole vault with a jump of 11' 3.50" to take 13th place at the Gibson Invitational.
Sprints/Hurdles
  • Jay’ana Blakely (Westville, Ind.) Manchester University | Sprints | Senior - Jay’ana Blakely ran seasons best of 26.59 in the 200m and finished 1st at the Mike Becraft Invite. This time ranks her 5th in the HCAC this season and is .1 seconds off her PR.
  • Rose Talbert (Monticello, Ill.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Sprints | Junior - Rose Talbert placed 10th in the 400m at the Gibson Invitational with a time of 57.58. 
Distance
  • Amanda Zerhusen (Cincinnati, Ohio) Mount St. Joseph University | Distance | Sophomore - Amanda adds another school record to her list by placing 3rd in the 1500m @ Centre OutdoorTwilight. Her time of 4:45.56 is also good for third in the conference and 17th in the Great Lakes Region.
