HCAC 2025-26 Women's Tennis Notebook, Week 11

CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Women's Tennis teams competed in week 11 of the 2025-26 season.

Athlete of the Week:
Emma Tranter (Brownsburg, Ind.) Franklin College | Freshman - Emma Tranter played a pivotal role as Franklin snapped a 17-match series losing streak against Hanover with a 4-3 win on Saturday. The freshman earned a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles to help secure that point then evened the match at 3-3 by pulling out a 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 victory at No. 2 singles.

Notable Performances:
  • Gabby Hosier (Alexandria, Ind.) Anderson University | Junior - Gabby Hosier went 2-0 at No. 3 Doubles and 2-0 at No. 3 Singles. Hosier secured a 6-2 victory against Olivet Nazarene's third grouping before capturing a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles. Hosier later fought past Covenant's No. 3 pair by a score of 7-5. she then took a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 3 singles.
  • Natalee McCann (Georgetown, Ohio) Earlham College | Junior - Natalee McCann led Earlham with a pair of wins over Marysville on Saturday. The junior won at No. 2 singles 6-4, 6-2 and also collected a 7-5 win at No. 2 doubles.
  • Emerson Donaldson (Greenwood, Ind.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Sophomore - Emerson Donaldson was the standout for Rose-Hulman in its shutout win over Berea to start conference play with a final score of 7-0. Donaldson represented the team at No. 1 singles, picking up a victory with scores of 6-0, 6-0. Donaldson also teamed up to claim a win at No. 1 doubles with a final score of 6-1.
  • Maddy Williams (Mayfield, Ky.) Transylvania University | Senior - Maddy Williams recorded a win at No. 3 singles, No. 3 doubles, and No. 2 singles to go 3-3 against tough competition on Spring Break.
