2025 HCAC Men's Tennis Championship Recap - Day 1

PENDLETON, Ind. – The 2025 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Men's Tennis Championship saw semifinal action on Saturday at the Community Sports and Wellness Center in Pendleton, Indiana, with No. 1 Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and No. 3 Anderson University advancing to the Championship.

In the first matchup of the day, the No. 1 seed Rose-Hulman prevailed, advancing to the 2025 Tournament Championship. The Pioneers topped the No. 4 seed Franklin College by a score of 4-0.
 
In doubles play, the Fightin' Engineers started off strong, taking the wins in #2 and #3 doubles action. In singles play, Grant Paradowski sealed the deal, winning his singles match following his two teammates wins in #1 and #3 singles to advance his Fightin' Engineers team to the championship.
 
No. 3 seed Anderson punched their ticket to the finals in the second match of the day, bypassing the No. 2 seeded Transylvania University, 4-0.
 
Following doubles play, the Ravens held a 2-1 advantage. For the singles action, the Ravens kept their lead securing wins in the #2 and #3 singles, and left it to Luis Guerrero in the #4 singles to get the win to clinch the Raven's spot in tomorrow's championship match. 

The Fightin' Engineers and the Ravens will face off in the Championship match, contested at the Community Sports and Wellness Center in Pendleton, Ind., slated to start at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. The winner will earn the conference’s automatic qualification bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship, with the opening rounds scheduled for May 9-11, 2025 at a location to be announced by the NCAA on May 5.
