HCAC 2025 Women's Outdoor Track & Field Notebook, Week 4

CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Women's Outdoor Track and Field teams competed in week three of the 2025 season.

Athletes of the Week:
Women's Throws Athlete of the Week:
Carley Camp (Logansport, Ind.) Manchester University | Throws | Senior - Carley was Named the Female Field Athlete of the Meet at the Indiana D3 Championships this weekend. She had a clean sweep, going 3/3 in Event wins, winning the Discus, Hammer, and Shot Put. Her Discus and Hammer marks were Season Bests, and her Hammer toss of 52.03m sits her 10th in Division 3.

Women's Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Week:
Rose Talbert (Monticello, Ill.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Sprints | Sophomore - Rose Talbert had another outstanding week at the Indiana DIII Championships with two event wins. She won the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.92 and broke her own school record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.16. Her time in the 400 is the top time in the conference this season and ranks 14th in all of NCAA DIII.

Women's Jumps Athlete of the Week:
Taylor Roark (Hebron, Ky.) Transylvania University | Jumps | Senior - Taylor cleared 1.60m to finish second at the NKU Norse Invitational. Her mark ties her PB and school record and also ties for the top mark in the HCAC this outdoor season.

Women's Distance Athlete of the Week:
Chesnee Miller (Akron, Ind.) Manchester University | Distance | First Year - Chesnee ran PRs in both the 1500 4:47.24 and in the 800 2:19.83.  both times are conference leading marks.  Her 1500m time is 6th best in Manchester history and her 800m time is 4th best in school history.

Throws Athletes:
  • Katie Grandstaff Berea College | Throws | First Year - Katie threw a collegiate PR of 26.82m in the discus to take 8th place and threw a season best of 9.56m in shot put to take 7th, at the Scots Invitational.
  • Jessie Stenger (Brookville, Ind.) Hanover College | Throws | Senior - Jessie Stenger led Hanover at the Division III Championships  finishing second in the discus throw with a toss of 40.85 meters. She also turned in a sixth place finish in the hammer throw. The senior continued her successful day finishing fourth in the javelin throw with a distance of 31.23 meters.
Jumps Athletes:
  • Jerneisha Lewis (Huntsville, Ala.) Berea College | Jumps | Sneior - Jerneisha jumped a PR of 9.58m in the triple jump to take 4th overall and then to 2nd overall in the long jump at the Scots Invitational.
  • Jay'ana Blakely (Westville, Ind.) Manchester University | Jumps | Junior - Jay’ana. Jumped 4.55 in the long jump and placed 7th at the Indiana D3 championship.
  • Josie Rigdon (Louisville, Ohio) Mount St. Joseph University | Jumps | First Year - Had an outdoor best vault at the Norse Invitational. Tied for 4th place currently in the HCAC and is now 4th all-time in school history.
  • Audrey Edwards (Tucson, Ariz.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Jumps | Sophomore - Audrey Edwards earned an event win in the high jump at the Indiana DIII Championships after clearing a height of 1.58 meters.
Sprints/Hurdles Athletes:
  • Ashyia Maddickes (Dayton, Ohio) Berea College | Jumps | Sophomore - Ashyia took home two first place finishes. First in the 100m by running a PR of 12.82 and then in the 200m by running a PR of 26.24.
  • Coco Truelove (Albion, Ind.) Manchester University | Sprints | First Year - Coco ran 13.06 and 26.91 in the 100 and 200. Both marks are #6 and #7 in the conference. And both marks were PRs.
  • Olivia Forte (Harrison, Ohio) Mount St. Joseph University | Sprints | Sophomore - Again running career bests in the 100m & 200m at the NKU Norse Invitational. Olivia is ranked 8th & 11th respectively in the HCAC and is tied for 4th all-time in MSJ history in the 100m.
Distance Athletes:
  • Jasiella Grandy (Asheville, N.C.) Berea College | Distance | Senior - Jasiella took 2nd place the 3000m SC running 13:38.93. That is her second fastest time ever.
  • Ella Bashor (Aurora, Ind.) Franklin College | Distance | Senior - Bashor had a career day in the 5K at the IN DIII championships on Saturday. She ran a 28 sec PR of 19:12.07. This ranks her #5 on the all-time FC outdoor list.
  • Jocelyn Onsot (Cary, Ill.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Distance | Sophomore - Jocelyn Onstot broke the school record in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a first-place finish at the Indiana DIII Championships with a time of 11:20.53. Her time is the top time in the conference this season.
