Will Gehlhausen (Norwalk, Ohio) Defiance College | Forward | Sophomore - Defiance went 1-2 this week, defeating Adrian and losing to Wooster and Baldwin Wallace. In the 2-1 win vs Adrian, Will scored both goals to lead the team to victory.
Defensive Athlete of the Week:
Angel Velasco-Urbina (Louisville, Ky.) Bluffton University | Goalkeeper | Sophomore - Velasco-Urbina had an outstanding week in goal, allowing just one score in 270 minutes of action with two shutouts as the Beavers went 1-1-1. The only tally was a goal by 2021 MIAA champion Trine in a 1-0 victory over the Beavers at Bluffton. He finished with eight saves and a 0.33 GAA for the week.
Notable Performances:
- Regan Frost (Yorktown, Ind.) Anderson University | Forward | Junior - Frost dished out two assists during Anderson's 2-0 win against Olivet. The Ravens went 1-1 during the week.
- Braden Guinn (Yorktown, Ind.) Earlham College | Forward/Midfield | Sophomore - Guinn led the Quakers in a 3-2 loss to Marietta College on Saturday. The sophomore notched two goals and led EC in shots for the week.
- Joao Domenici (Alphavile, Brazil) Hanover College | Forward | Sophomore - Domenici led the Panther attack last week despite falling to both ONU and Otterbein. The sophomore charted a team best five shots in the 2-0 contest with ONU before helping to hold Otterbein to just one goal after losing a man in the third minute.
- Jackson Seida (Frankfort, Ill.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Forward | Junior - Seida scored the lone goal in Rose-Hulman's 1-0 win over DePauw, helping Rose-Hulman go 1-0-1 last week and improve to 3-0-2 on the season.
- Jaxon Gillig (Carmel, Ind.) Anderson University | Defender | Sophomore - The Ravens finished 1-1 on the week. During Anderson's 2-0 shutout against Olivet, Gillig tabbed two defensive saves for the Ravens. He also provided the Ravens with a pair of steals and three intercepts against Olivet.
- Luciano Salemi (Indianapolis, Ind.) Hanover College | Goal Keeper | Junior - Salemi posted a strong week in frame despite dropping two tough matchups to OAC foes Otterbein and ONU. After falling to a man down just three minutes into the contest at Otterbein, the keeper stood tall charting seven saves on eight shots faced. Against ONU, he picked up 10 total saves.
- John Biederstedt (Indianapolis, Ind.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Goal Keeper | Sophomore - Biederstedt led Rose-Hulman's defensive effort in a 1-0 win over DePauw and a 1-1 draw against defending MIAA champion Hope with three total saves. Rose-Hulman stands 3-0-2 (draws to Hope and North Central) after the 1-0-1 week.
