HCAC Student-Athletes Receive United Soccer Coaches Honors, Transylvania’s Barnes Named All-America

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Transylvania’s Dylan Barnes highlighted the group of 15 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) student-athletes who received postseason honors from United Soccer Coaches. The HCAC Midfielder of the Year and HCAC All-Conference First Team honoree earned All-America Third Team honors.

The 2025 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s All-America teams were announced on Thursday (Dec. 4) with the All-Region teams announced earlier in the month.

This season was the second year in a row that Barnes earned HCAC Midfielder of the Year recognition. He finished in the league’s top-10 in shots (24), shots on-goal (13), goals (8), game-winning goals (4), and points (17) in conference play, while also finishing second in goals (10) and third in points (25) overall.

In addition to Barnes’ All-America selection several HCAC student-athletes were All-Region selections by United Soccer Coaches.

Earning Region VII First Team honors were Transylvania’s Barnes and Hanover’s Patricio Campos for the men and Rose-Hulman’s Camille Clark for the women.

The Engineers women’s squad was also represented on the All-Region VII Second Team with Ally Smith earning a nod. Transylvania had a men’s Second Team honoree in Gus Dickman.

Third Team honorees included Hanover’s Andrew Beck and Rose-Hulman’s Jacob Pohl on the men’s side, plus Mount St. Joseph’s Mary Anhofer and Rose-Hulman’s Lauren Marquardt for the women.

Three HCAC women earned All-Region VII Fourth Team honors with Hanover’s Anna Black, MSJ’s Kendal Fox, and Rose-Hulman’s Sydnee Schuler all being selected. The Engineers’ Oliver Fila and the Transylvania duo of Ethan Gudorf and Jackson Holt were the representatives on the men’s side.
