Transylania claims 2025 HCAC Men's Soccer Championship Title

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Transylvania University defeated No. 2 seed Hanover College to win the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) 2025 Men’s Soccer Championship on Saturday.

Tranyslvania defeated Hanover 1-1 in regulation, with a penalty shootout resulting in a 4-3 Pioneer Victory. The Pioneers were the one seed going into Saturday's matchup with No. 2 seed, Hanover.
 
For his efforts in the post season, Transylvania's Cole Varela (Elizabethtown, Ky.) was named the 2025 HCAC Men’s Soccer Tournament Most Outstanding Player. The HCAC recognizes an all-tournament team, with players selected to the team listed below.
 
With their win, Transylvania earns the conference’s automatic qualification bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship. The field for the championship will be announced Monday, Nov. 10 at 1:30 p.m.
