Two elimination games would start the day with #4 Hanover taking the field and powering past #6 Franklin in the first game of the day, winning by a score of 5-1.

Weather ended up playing a huge factor on Friday, as rain showers rolled into Kokomo during the 2nd game, which would eventually cause a stopped and overall delay.

The next elimination game had #3 Rose-Hulman rolling past #5 Anderson with a score of 7-3.  Those games outcomes have setup a showdown between #4 Hanover and #3 Rose-Hulman that has now been delayed until Saturday morning at 10am, due to the rain delay.  The winner of that game will stay alive to take on the winner of Game 3 of the day between Earlham and Transylvania on Saturday afternoon at 1:15pm.

In the third game of the day, following a near 3 hour delay, the top seeded Earlham Quakers took the field and faced #2 Transylvania. Following a tough battle of a game, the Pioneers took the win 11-4 and will now sit and wait to see how Saturday morning plays out for the teams in the losers bracket to find out their opponent that they will face. Transylvania's next game will be played either Saturday at 4:30pm or Sunday morning, depending on the results of Game 8 and Game 9.

Fans should stay tuned to the HCAC Baseball Championship page for all of the bracket updates and time indicators as the tournament continues on Saturday.
