HCAC 2025-26 Men's Tennis Notebook, Week 15

CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Men's Tennis teams competed in week 15 of the 2025-26 season.

Athlete of the Week:
Ivan Wularu (Kumasi, Ghana) Earlham College | Junior - Ivan Wularu went 4-0 this week in singles play, and 2-2 in doubles for Earlham. Wularu won 6-4, 6-0 at No.2 singles against Mount Union, 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 at No.3 singles against Rose-Hulman, 6-0, 6-0 at No.1 singles against Berea, and 6-2, 6-2 against IU Southeast at No.1 singles. In doubles play, Wularu picked up wins over Berea and IU Southeast.

Notable Performances:
  • Jake Fascione (Poole, United Kingdom) Hanover College | Sophomore - Jake Fascione led Hanover against Transylvania. The sophomore battled tough taking his No. 1 singles match to a tie break set before surrendering, 6-2, 0-6, 6-7 (5-7). He won No. 1 doubles 6-2.
  • Tim Eckermann (Munich, Germany) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Sophomore - Tim Eckermann led Rose-Hulman in its victory over Earlham on Saturday. The team defeated the Quakers with a score of 6-1. Eckermann went 2-0, picking up a win at No. 1 doubles, 6-4, and defeating his No. 2 singles opponent with scores of 6-1, 6-0.
  • Chase Moreman (Elizabethtown, Ky.) Transylvania University | Junior - Chase Moreman went for a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles and a huge 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles for a road HCAC win at Hanover this weekend.
