Athlete of the Week:
Ezekiel Bergen (Poland, Ind.) Anderson University | Sophomore - Ezekiel Bergen went 3-2 in singles on the week. Against Taylor, Bergen broke a 3-3 tie to clinch the deciding point at No. 3 singles. Bergen then went 2-2 in the ITA Regionals by advancing to the Flight B consolation semifinals.
Notable Performances:
- Marcus Cox (Plainfield, Ind.) Franklin College | Senior - Marcus Cox made a run to the consolation semifinals at the ITA Central Regional in Indianapolis. After suffering a 6-3, 7-5 loss in the opening round of the main draw, the senior earned a 7-6, 6-1 victory against Wittenberg and a 6-0, 6-0 win over Kalamazoo before falling to Bernardo Furtado of Wabash, 6-4, 6-1, in the semifinals.
- Sebastian Vogel (Rottenburg, Germany) Hanover College | Sophomore - Sebastian Vogel competed as part of the ITA Regionals winning his opening singles match at the ITA Regionals defeating Winters of Wheaton College 6-3, 6-3.
- Tim Eckermann (Munich, Germany) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Junior - Tim Eckermann led Rose-Hulman at ITA Regionals this weekend. Eckermann went 2-3 across doubles and singles play. He teamed up with Chris Lian to earn a win in their opening-round match. Then Eckermann picked up a victory in singles during the consolation draw.
