Drew Snipes (Pickerington, Ohio) Bluffton University | Second Base/Outfield | Junior - Drew Snipes hit .462 with nine RBI and five runs scored as Bluffton went 3-5 on the week with wins over Calvin and Trine to close out the Florida trip. He finished the week with two doubles, a triple, and a walkoff homer for the Beavers. Snipes slugged .731 and had a .545 on-base percentage.
Pitcher of the Week:
Travis Rooney (Thompson, Pa.) Bluffton University | Pitcher | Freshman - Travis Rooney tossed eight scoreless innings across three appearances, going 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA. He held the opposition to a miniscule 0.77 batting average with five strikeouts and just one walk.
Notable Performances:
- Landon Gum (New Albany, Ind.) Anderson University | Outfield | Freshman - Landon Gum went 3-for-10 with a home run, a double, five RBI, and a stolen base. He contributed a .700 slugging percentage, a .300 on-base percentage and a .300 batting average, while Anderson went 2-1 on the week.
- Rex Richter (Hebron, Ky.) Anderson University | Pitcher | Sophomore - Rex Richter earned the win against Mount St. Mary (N.Y.). He tossed a seven-inning complete game while striking out seven batters, issuing no walks, and allowing two runs on three hits. For the game, Richter recorded a 0.42 WHIP, a .130 opponent batting average, a 9.0 K/9 ratio and a 2.57 ERA.
- Noah Madrid (Los Lunas, N.M.) Berea College | Pitcher | Junior - Noah Madrid earned the win on the mound against Regent. He had six innings pitched giving up only one earned run, on three hits, with three walks and a strikeout.
- Mitchell Roether (Dayton, Ohio) Earlham College | First Base | Senior - Mitchell Roether led Earlham at the plate on Sunday, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI with one run scored.
- Cayman Huntsman (Lebanon, Ind.) Earlham College | Pitcher | Junior - Cayman Huntsman went five innings in Earlham's opening game in Florida on Sunday. The junior allowed seven hits with three earned runs and five strikeouts.
- Josh Girvan (Zionsville, Ind.) Franklin College | Second Base | Sophomore - Josh Girvan went 5-for-12 in the leadoff spot for Franklin, adding a pair of walks for a .500 on-base percentage. The speedy infielder also scored four runs and stole four bases, bringing his career total to 54 (seven this season), just five off of the school record of 59 a mere three weeks into his sophomore season.
- Luke Harmon (Columbus, Ind.) Franklin College | Pitcher | Junior - Luke Harmon was electric in a must-win situation, pitching seven strong innings to help Franklin salvage a doubleheader split against Carroll. The junior gave up just one run on three hits and a walk, striking out six in a 9-3 victory. Harmon faced the minimum three batters in six of his seven frames, allowing just one runner to advance past second base.
- Michael Kirk (Loveland, Ind.) Hanover College | Third Base | Freshman - Michael Kirk led Hanover as it took on undefeated Belhaven over the weekend, dropping the three game series. The freshman was outstanding at the dish going 4-for-11 with six RBI and two walks. He finished the weekend batting .364.
- Parker Heaney (Carmel, Ind.) Hanover College | Pitcher | Freshman - Parker Heaney hurled five complete innings for Hanover at Belhaven, finishing the outing with a 1.80 ERA. He allowed just two runs on six hits with three strikeouts.
- Jackson Todor (Fort Wayne, Ind.) Manchester University | Pitcher | Senior - Jackson Todor made two appearances on the mound for Manchester last past week. On Monday, Todor pitched all eight innings against Misericordia and came away with zero earned runs and three strikeouts. On Sunday, Todor pitched five innings against DePauw and tallied two earned runs and two strikeouts.
- Max Horner (Goshen, Ind.) Manchester University | Outfielder | Sophomore - Max Horner had another stand-out weekend for Manchester. In game one of a three-game series against DePauw, Horner went 5-for-5 with two doubles and four RBI. In two games on Sunday, Horner finished 5-for-9 with one homerun, one double, five RBI, and three runs scored. Horner also avoided striking out in all three games against DePauw.
- Gavin Drooger (Holland, Mich.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Pitcher | Sophomore - Gavin Drooger helped lead Rose-Hulman to an 8-1 victory over Saint Mary's. Gavin pitched the first seven innings of the game where he struck out seven batters to earn the win. He allowed just five hits, while only giving up one run.
- Jackson Summers (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Outfield | Junior - Rose-Hulman finished the week with a 2-3 record, which includes multiple losses to No. 3 Denison. Summers recorded two or more hits in all five games, finishing the week with a .619 batting average. He scored a total of five runs, which included a three-run game against Saint Mary's. He would also add two doubles and one RBI on the week.
- Drew Bowles (Lexington, Ky.) Transylvania University | Pitcher | Junior - Drew Bowles pitched five innings, allowing four hits with eight strikeouts in a loss against MSOE.
- Calvin Schubert (Louisville, Ky.) Transylvania University | Outfielder | Senior - Calvin Schubert had one hit and one run in three at-bats, along with two stolen bases on Friday in a loss against MSOE. In a Saturday win against MSOE, he had three hits and one run in four at-bats.
