HCAC 2025-26 Men's Tennis Notebook, Week 13

CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Men's Tennis teams competed in week 13 of the 2025-26 season.

Athlete of the Week:
Pedro Sette (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) Anderson University | Sophomore - Pedro Sette went 4-0 overall last week, going 2-0 at No. 1 Doubles and 2-0 at No. 4 Singles. Sette and his partner fought past Hanover's top doubles pair by a score of 7-6 (8-6) before Sette battled past Hanover's No. 4, 6-4, 6-1 in singles play. Sette later secured a 6-4 win against Earlham's No. 1 doubles team and captured a 6-3, 6-3 victory against Earlham at No. 4 Singles.


Notable Performances:
  • Ryan Fox (Nassau, Bahamas) Earlham College | Junior - Ryan Fox went 2-0 in singles play as Earlham  continued HCAC action over the weekend. Fox won on Saturday 6-1, 6-2 against the 2024 HCAC Player of the Year and he took the win at Anderson 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 in No.1 singles.
  • Jaden Wells (Jeffersonville, Ind.) Franklin College | Junior - Jaden Wells was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at No. 2 singles against Berea, while he and his partner teamed for a 6-1 victory at No. 2 doubles. In a loss at Brevard, Wells came up just short in a third-set singles tiebreak, while he again picked up a 6-1 victory in doubles.
  • Tim Eckermann (Munich, Germany) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Sophomore - Tim Eckermann was the standout for Rose-Hulman in its narrow loss to Wabash with a final score of 4-3. Eckermann went 2-0 winning at No. 1 doubles, 7-5, and taking down his opponent in No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-3. 
  • Ravi Tedeschi (Louisville, Ky.) Transylvania University | Sophomore - Ravi Tedeschi had a win at No. 2 singles against Earlham on Saturday.
