Anderson: Bohanon Selected to Lead Women's Soccer Program

ANDERSON, Ind. - The Anderson University athletics department and Athletic Director Marcie Taylor have selected Vincent Bohanon as the Anderson women's soccer head coach. 

Bohanon has served as a coach for the Delaware County Football Club (DCFC) in Muncie for the last 17 years, including the last seven as the U-19 women's head coach.

"We are excited to welcome Coach Bohanon to Anderson University as the new leader of our women's soccer program," Marcie Taylor said. "His track record of positive and successful leadership in programs he's been associated with has prepared Coach Bohanon to put his stamp on an already established program."

As the U-19 head coach, Bohanon elevated DCFC to a No. 7 ranking among teams in the state of Indiana in 2024. DCFC also achieved a No. 1 ranking in the Indiana Soccer League in 2025. DCFC Women's team has won the 2020 Puma Cup, and in his tenure. Since 2024, Bohanon has served as the women's lead recruiter of DCFC, and Director of the East v West games, bringing in more than 200 athletes across all ages. 

Bohanon spent the previous 10 years as an assistant coach, where he held key responsibilities in player development, coaching sessions and game tactics. He has also assisted hundreds of athletes in their college recruitment process 

In 2018 he was the Head Coach of the Wapahani High School Men's Soccer Team in Selma. 

A native of Muncie, Bohanon was a three-year soccer starter for Delta High School in Muncie. As a junior, he was an all-conference selection and team MVP.

Coach Bohanon's vision for the women's soccer program is "your dreams are never bigger than God's plans. You have to be available 100 percent of the time to capitalize on the one percent," which is influenced by Ephesians 3:20, which states "now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us."
