CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) Women’s Lacrosse teams competed in week eight of the 2025 season.

Athlete of the Week:  

Offensive
Sarah Weist (Middletown, Ohio) Anderson University | Midfield | First Year - Sarah Weist notched a total of 10 goals and 2 assists for 12 points as Anderson went 2-0 on the week. He posted matching stat lines of 5 goals and 1 assist against Franklin and Hanover.

Defensive
Lauren Brown (Fort Wayne, Ind.) Anderson University | Attack | Senior - Lauren Brown recorded averages of 6 ground balls, 9.5 draw controls and 1.5 caused turnovers as Anderson went 2-0 on the week.

Notable Performances:
Offensive:

  • Abby Cole (Cincinnati, Ohio) Mount St. Joseph University | Midfield | Junior - Lions junior midfielder Abby scored a team-high four goals in the teams game vs. Spalding this week. She did so 7 shots. For good measure she added a pair of groundballs and 5 draw controls.
  • Emma Beach (Elmira, N.Y.) Spalding University | Midfield | Sophomore - Emma led SU to a win over Mount St. Joseph. She tallied six goals for SU. Beach tallied 17 shots, with 13 of those being on target. She also tallied four draw controls.
Defensive:
  • Nicole Hollowell (Orlando, Fla.) Spalding University | Defense | Junior - Hollowell led SU to their third straight HCLC win. She tallied three ground balls and got a draw control.
