CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) men’s basketball teams competed in week seven of the 2025-26 season.

Athlete of the Week:
Hunter Barr (Hardinsburg, Ky.) Transylvania University | Forward | Junior - Hunter Barr had a strong week for Transylvania. In the loss against Manchester, he led the team with 24 points, six rebounds and two blocks. In the win over Wooster at the Don Lane Classic, he again led the Pioneers with 22 points and seven rebounds. He was named MVP of the event.
Notable Performances:
- JD Stokes (West Harrison, Ind.) Bluffton University | Center | Senior - JD Stokes recorded his first collegiate double-double with 18 points and 10 boards. He went 8-for-10 from the field, including a 2-for-3 mark from behind the arc, in Bluffton's first HCAC victory of the season at Berea.
- Sheldon Gatlin (Carmel, Ind.) Hanover College | Guard/Forward | Sophomore - Sheldon Gatlin put on a clinic from three-point on Wednesday as he helped propel Hanover past Anderson, 83-69. The sophomore came off the bench to have a game-high 24 points, with 5-for-6 shooting from three-point. He also pulled down seven rebounds.
- Ty Lynas (Crawfordsville, Ind.) Manchester University | Guard | Graduate - Ty Lynas turned in a complete performance for Manchester in an 80-77 overtime win against Transylvania, leading the Spartans with 24 points. Lynas added six rebounds and six assists, consistently creating opportunities for his teammates and helping keep the offense in rhythm, while also contributing two steals on the defensive end.
- Daniel Savovic (Everett, Wash.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Guard | Junior - Daniel Savovic was a difference maker for Rose-Hulman as the Fightin’ Engineers went 1-1 over the week. Savovic led the team in scoring in both games, averaging 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. Savovic led the team with 21 points, recording four rebounds, and three assists in the team's conference victory over Earlham to win the John Mutchner Cup. He followed that performance with a team-high 12 points and six rebounds in Rose-Hulman's loss to a strong DePauw team.
