Athlete of the Week:
Ty Lynas (Crawfordsville, Ind.) Manchester University | Guard | Graduate - Ty Lynas put together an impressive individual performance on Saturday against Hanover, pouring in a career-high 38 points in a strong offensive showing for Manchester. Lynas was efficient from the floor, shooting 16-for-23, while consistently finding scoring opportunities throughout the game. In addition to his scoring output, Lynas contributed on the defensive end with two steals and added two rebounds.
Notable Performances:
- Kenney Troutman (Indianapolis, Ind.) Anderson University | Guard | Senior - Kenney Troutman tallied 22 points and knocked down 4-of-7 shots from three-point range against Rose-Hulman.
- Ian Snelling (Erlanger, Ky.) Bluffton University | Guard | Graduate - Ian Snelling scored a game-high 20 points with a pair of triples as Bluffton lost a heartbreaker to Transylvania, 67-65, on Saturday afternoon. He also dished out six assists, pulled down four rebounds, and picked off three steals.
- Malachi McNair (Evansville, Ind.) Hanover College | Forward | Sophomore - Malachi McNair led Hanover to a 1-0 week as it defeated Manchester, 95-83. The sophomore recorded a double-double for the Panthers netting 25 points, while pulling in 14 rebounds. He finished the contest 10-for-12 from the field.
- Jason Lavender (West Chester, Ohio) Mount St. Joseph University | Forward | Junior - Jason Lavender led Mount St. Joseph to an 88-64 win over Earlham on Saturday. He scored a season-high 19 points, doing so with a 5-for-11 effort from the field and a 4-for-6 effort from three. He added seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals in the game.
- Cole Pride (Osgood, Ind.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Forward | Junior - Cole Pride was exceptional for Rose-Hulman as the team went 1-1 on the week. In the loss to No. 4 WashU, Pride totaled 18 points and four rebounds. In the conference win over Anderson, Pride exploded for 27 points and six rebounds. For the week, he averaged 22.5 points and five rebounds per game while shooting 59.4 percent from the field and 50 percent from beyond the arc.
