HCAC 2025-26 Men's Tennis Notebook, Week 4

CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Men's Tennis teams competed in week four of the 2025-26 season.

Athlete of the Week:
Jaden Wells (Jeffersonville, Ind.) Franklin College | Junior - Wells was perfect on the week at No. 3 singles, posting straight-set victories against IU East (6-0, 6-2) and Olivet (6-1, 6-4). He also teamed with Clark Hersam for a 7-5 win at No. 1 doubles against Olivet, part of a 7-0 Grizzly sweep.

Notable Performances:
  • Martin Suarez (Quito, Ecuador) Anderson University | Junior - Anderson captured a 6-1 victory against Taylor in Anderson's only match of the week. Martin Suarez picked up the win at No. 2 Singles and No. 1 Doubles.
  • Ivan Wularu (Kumasi, Ghana) Earlham College | Junior - Ivan Wularu scored a 6-7, 6-4, 7-5 win at No.1 singles at Albion College on Sunday in a 4-3 Quaker loss.
  • Joao Henrique Nossar (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Sophomore - Joao Henrique Nossar led the Fightin' Engineers in their exciting win over Greenville with a final score of 4-3. Nossar picked up a win at No. 3 doubles, 6-4, and earned a win at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-4.
  • Jacob Jiranek ( Elizabethtown, Ky.) Transylvania University | Junior - Jacob Jiranek had a strong performance against Kentucky Wesleyan on Sunday, earning a victory at one in doubles and a win at three in singles competition.
