HCAC 2025-26 Men's Tennis Notebook, Week 5

CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Men's Tennis teams competed in week five of the 2025-26 season.

Athlete of the Week:
Clark Hersam (Avon, Ind.) Franklin College | Sophomore - Hersam played a massive role in the Grizzlies' 4-3 win over Alma to finish out the fall season. He teamed with Jaden Wells for a 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles, then finished off his day by posting a 6-3, 6-3 win at first singles.

Notable Performances:
  • Pedro Sette (Belo Horizante, Brazil) Anderson University | Sophomore - Pedro Sette won his matches at No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles as Anderson secured a 6-1 victory against IU-East.
  • Ivan Wularu (Kumasi, Ghana) Earlham College | Junior - Ivan Wularu led the Quakers in a 4-3 win over Alma College on Homecoming. Wularu won his No.1 singles match 6-2, 6-4, and teamed up with Dreek Saha for a 6-4 win at No.1 doubles.
  • Lucas Silveira (Porto Alegre, Brazil) Hanover College | First Year - Silveira helped lead the Panthers to a 2-0 week as they defeated both Shawnee State and Kentucky Wesleyan. At Shawnee State, Lucas claimed no. 1 doubles 6-2 while winning no. 2 singles 6-0, 6-0. He also claimed his no. 3 singles match with Kentucky Wesleyan 6-3, 6-3.
