CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) announced the addition of
Isaiah Campbell to the conference office staff as the Championships, Events and Operations Intern. Campbell will begin his role in January 2023.
Campbell is a graduate of Wabash College where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Business. He went on to earn his master’s degree at the University of New Haven in Sports Management, where he also served as the Graduate Assistant for Corporate Sponsorships and Relations. While at Wabash, Campbell was a football and track and field student-athlete, where he was a team captain. He also earned the title of the NCAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Year following the 2020 season.
“We are excited to welcome Isaiah to our team,” shared HCAC Commissioner Jay Jones. “His Division III background paired with his experience will help us to better serve our HCAC family.”
Most recently, Campbell was the Basketball Communication Intern for the NBA’s Indiana Pacers organization. In his time with the Pacers, he focused on developing a long term communication plan, specifically tackling social media strategy. Campbell also helped developed daily storylines and worked closely on the communication efforts for the NBA Draft and Free Agency process.
"I am truly thankful for this opportunity to work alongside Jay, Stacey, and the other great Division III athletic administrators," said Campbell. "As a former Division III athlete, I have a burning passion for Division III athletics, and couldn’t have asked to be in a better position. I’m extremely excited to be a part of the new wave of collegiate athletic administrators."
The HCAC Championships, Events and Operations Intern will be responsible for assisting the conference office in all aspects of media relations, championship administration and conference operations.
