HCAC Announces 2022 Men’s Tennis All-Conference, Awards

CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) announced the 2022 Men’s Tennis All-Conference and major award winners on Tuesday.
 
In a vote of league coaches, Nick McNamee (Belfry, Ky.) from Transylvania University was selected as the 2022 HCAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Year. The senior played No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles for the Pioneers throughout the season. He posted a record of 4-1 in No. 1 singles and 3-2 and No. 1 doubles in league play.
 
The league also recognizes an HCAC Newcomer of the Year, a standout student athlete in their first year of athletic eligibility. From Anderson University, Tucker Bradley (Bradenburg, Ky.) was named the 2022 HCAC Newcomer of the Year. The first-year finished the season with a 12-8 record playing No. 1 and No. 2 singles for the Ravens. He set a single season wins record for a first-year player, while also posting a 9-7 record in No. 1 doubles.
 
In a vote amongst his peers, Anderson head coach Matt Moore was selected as the 2022 HCAC Men’s Tennis Coach of the Year. The Ravens finished the season with a 3-2 mark in conference play and boasted a 15-5 mark overall.
 
Player of the Year: Nick McNamee, Transylvania University
Newcomer of the Year: Tucker Bradley, Anderson University
Coach of the Year:  Matt Moore, Anderson University
 
The HCAC also honors an All-Conference First Team and Honorable Mention. The members of those teams are selected by a vote of league coaches.
