Athlete of the Week:
Dasia Thornton (Cincinnati, Ohio) Transylvania University | Forward | Senior - In the Pat Deacon Classic, Thornton earned MVP honors. In two games, she totaled 33 points, 21 rebounds, four steals, and three assists as the No. 2 Pioneers defeated Wilmington and Denison. She recorded a double-double against Wilmington and then led the Pioneers in points and rebounds against Denison.
Notable Performances:
- Lexi Dellinger (Bernem, Ind.) Anderson University | Guard | Graduate Student - Dellinger notched 26 points and four assists in Anderson's 83-77 win against St. Mary's (Ind.). She knocked down 6-of-12 (50 percent) shots from 3-point range.
- Morgan Smith (Arlington, Ohio) Bluffton University | Forward | Senior - Smith powered the Beavers to a 63-51 home victory over Heidelberg on Tuesday night. She scored 12 points and ripped down a game-high 14 boards with three assists, three blocks and a steal.
- Grace Bezold (Covington, Ky.) Hanover College | Guard | Sophomore - Bezold led the Panthers to victory in their lone game last week, defeating Centre 65-47. The sophomore posted an impressive day recording 22 points, shooting 10-of-19 from the floor. She also added nine rebounds with two blocks.
- Jessie Ringen (Rensselaer, Ind.) Manchester University | Guard / Forward | Senior - Ringen helped lead the Spartans to a 77-43 victory over Kalamazoo on Saturday. Ringen led Manchester with 13 points and pulled down eight rebounds during Saturday's contest. She also finished the day with three steals and went 5-for-9 from two-point range in 24 minutes of play.
