CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) announced the 2026 Men’s Golf All-Conference and major award winners on Tuesday.
Transylvania freshman Andy Steed (Wilmington, Ohio) was named both the HCAC Athlete and Newcomer of the Year. He was not only one of the best golfers in the HCAC this year, but one of the top golfers in all of NCAA Division III. He was ranked 39th in the Clippd rankings, playing 31 rounds this year with a scoring average of 71.7. He took medalist honors at the Rhodes Fall Invitational and the Fernandina Beach Collegiate, while adding a runner-up finish at the HCAC Championship. In the 36-hole championship event, he carded an even-par 72 on day one before turning in a 69 (-3) and a 71 (-1) on the last two days.
Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year: Andy Steed, Transylvania University
The HCAC also honors an All-Conference Team, which the members of those teams are selected by a vote of league coaches.
