Two HCAC Student-Athletes Qualify for 2026 NCAA DIII Indoor Track & Field Championships

INDIANAPOLIS  – Two Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) student-athletes qualified for the 2026 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships. The participants who were announced on Sunday (March 8), will compete from Friday-Saturday, March 13-14 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala. The event is being hosted by the Southern Athletic Association and the Birmingham CrossPlex.

Hanover’s Tommy Wilmoth (Magnolia, Ky.) will be making the trip to compete in the shot put. He is seeded seventh in the national competition with a seed mark of 1.78m, a mark he set at the 2026 HCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The mark is also an HCAC record and helped him earn the 2026 HCAC Men’s Throws Athlete of the Year award.

Franklin freshman Grace Tincher (Palmyra, Ind.) will also be traveling to Alabama after qualifying in the long jump with a seed mark of 5.88m. Her jump places her seventh in the event and was also the mark that helped her win both HCAC Newcomer of Year and HCAC Jumps Athlete of the Year. She also set the HCAC indoor record.
