HCAC 2025-26 Men's Golf Notebook, Week 6

CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Men’s Golf teams competed in week six of the 2025-26 season.

Athlete of the Week: 
Luke LeBourdais (Saginaw, Mich.) Anderson University | Senior - Luke LeBourdais rewrote the program's modern record book, which dates back to 2011. LeBourdais fired a round of 68 in the first of three rounds on the par-72 layout at Broadmoor Country Club. The Saginaw, Mich. native then shot 73 and 76 for his second and third rounds, respectively. LeBourdais closed the tournament with relative-to-par modern era records for 18 holes (-4), 36 holes (-3) and 54 holes (+1). LeBourdais tied for 15th in the field with a 217.
 
Notable Performances:
  • Aaron Gerber (Vermilion, Ohio) Bluffton University | Sophomore - Gerber shot one-under par 71 on back-to-back days en route to a school-record 2-under 142, knocking four strokes off the school record! It was also good enough for 2nd place out of 48 golfers at the Beaver Fall Invite.
  • Caden Perkins (Indianapolis, Ind.) Mount St. Joseph University | First Year - MSJ Freshman Caden Perkins captured his first career tournament win at the Sinking Valley Collegiate Classic hosted by Penn State Altoona. Perkins was in second place after a first round 75, trailing by one stroke. On Monday he fired in a tournament-low 71 to force a playoff. Eventually winning the tournament on the second playoff hole.
