LEXINGTON, Ky. – No. 2 ranked Transylvania University captured the Women’s Basketball title on Saturday in the 2023 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Women’s Basketball Championship, dowing Hanover College 85-58.

The Pioneers continue their undefeated season, improving to 26-0, while the Hanover College fell in the Championship, finishing their 2022-23 campaign with a mark of 17-7. Transylvania claims the HCAC Automatic Qualification bid to the 2023 NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Championship, and will learn their fate on Monday, Feb. 27 at 2:30 pm during the selection show.
