CARMEL, Ind. - The 2023 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships are set to be held Tuesday, February 21 through Saturday February 25.

The No. 2 team in the country, Transylvania University ran the tables, finishing conference play with an unblemished 18-0 mark to secure the No. 1 seed, the regular season championship, and the hosting rights. Snagging the other first-round bye is the No. 2 seed, Hanover College, who finished league play with a 15-3 mark. The women’s championship tournament will get underway on Tuesday, February 21 with both games tipping off at 7:30 p.m. Mount St. Joseph University picked up the No. 3 seed and the right to host, where they will go head-to-head with No. 6 seeded Manchester University, who finished with a 7-11 league record. On the other side of the bracket, No. 4 seed Anderson University will host the other quarterfinal contest, meeting the No. 5 seed Bluffton University.
The semifinal and final rounds of the women’s championship will be contests on the campus of Transylvania University, in Lexington, Ky. The semifinal will kick off at 5 p.m., with Transylvania meeting the winners of the No. 4 Anderson/No. 5 Bluffton matchup. The Panthers will await the winners of the No. 3 Mount St. Joseph/No. 6 Manchester contest, with that game slated for 7 p.m. The championship game will consist of the two remaining teams and will tip at 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 25 in the Clive M. Beck Center.
Admission to all HCAC Championships is $10. Children aged 11 and under and students/faculty and staff with an HCAC institution ID will be admitted for free.
