HARRISON, Ohio – Transylvania University claimed the 2022 Men’s Golf title, earning their 14th 2022 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Men’s Golf Championship.

The Pioneers won the championship with a three day, 54-hole total of 913. Franklin College snuck in to take second, with an 946 while Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology rounded out the top three with a 947.
Transylvania went one-two, with senior
Timothy Alexander earning the title of Medalist, with a three-round score of 225. Teammate
Tyler Allred finished second with a 226, while
Alan Showalter rounded out the top three.
The HCAC recognizes a Newcomer of the Year, the lowest scoring student athlete in their first year of collegiate athletic competition.
Mychal McKelvey from Earlham carded a 234 to earn the title of Newcomer of the Year.
Transylvania coach
Brian Lane was named the 2022 HCAC Men’s Golf Coach of the Year. The HCAC also recognizes the top-10 finishers as the All-Conference team, with the members listed below.
