CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) released the Women’s Soccer post-season awards on Tuesday.
After earning the No. 1 seed and the Conference Tournament Championship, Hanover College also swept the major awards following the Spring 2021 season.
Maggie Day (Sellersburg, Ind.) was selected as the Offensive Player of the Year. The junior netted eight goals and one assist over the course of the regular season, accumulating 17 points. Day fired 24 shots, with 16 of them on goal, for a shots on goal percentage of 66.7 percent.
Fellow Panther
Josie Dattilo (Montgomery, Ohio) was tabbed the Defensive Player of the Year. The sophomore was a force in the backfield, directing the Hanover defense that only allowed two goals on the year. The sophomore dished an assist in 2021 and saw 741 minutes of action.
Fresh-face
Jostin Reeves (Greenwood, Ind.) was selected as the Newcomer of the Year. The first year netted six goals and handed out three assists, racking up 15 points. Reeves boasts 19 shots, with 13 shots on goal in 2021.
James Watts led the Panthers to an unbeaten 8-0 regular season, earning the No. 1 seed in the HCAC post-season tournament and claiming the Spring 2021 title, earning the title of HCAC Coach of the Year.

Coach of the Year – James Watts, HC
The HCAC also honors an All-Conference First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention team. The members of those teams are selected by a vote of league coaches and are listed below.
