HCAC 2025 Women's Soccer Notebook, Week 4

CARMEL, Ind. - The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Women's Soccer teams competed in week four of the 2025 season.

Offensive Player of the Week:
Morgan Jarvis (Powell, Ohio) Bluffton University | Forward | Junior - Jarvis powered the Beavers to a 6-0 win over Ohio Christian on Wednesday night. She hit paydirt twice and chipped in with an assist for five total points. Jarvis took 5 shots and put them all on frame.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Adrienne Weyers (Granger, Ind.) Anderson University | Goalkeeper | Senior - Adrienne Weyers saved 15-of-18 (83.3 percent) shots as Anderson went 0-1-1 on the week. She saved 7-of-8 (87.5 percent) shots in a tie against St. Mary's (Ind.). Weyers then saved 8-of-10 (80 percent) shots in a loss against Spalding.
 
Notable Performances:
Offensive
  • Kristin Fischili (St. Petersburg, Fla.) Berea College | Midfield | Senior - Kristin Fischli, a Senior midfielder from St. Petersburg, FL, was a key contributor in the Mountaineers' offense during this undefeated home weekend.  Kristin tallied 2 assists, one in each of the contest this week against DIII opposition.
  • Cam Horsley (Mooresville, Ind.) Hanover College | Midfielder | Junior - Horsley led the Panthers netting two goals on eight shots in a very tough week of competition. She posted a .625 shot on goal percentage.
  • Rikkie Chase (Okeana, Ohio) Mount St. Joseph University | Forward | Sophomore - Rikkie Chase made the most of her opportunities this week as the Lions went 1-1-1 on the week. For the week she played just 87 minutes registered only a single shot but made it count as she scored the game winner vs. Marietta.
  • Sydnee Schuler (Bloomington, Ill.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Forward | Sophomore - Sydnee Schuler helped lead Rose-Hulman to a 1-1 record this week, where the Fightin' Engineers defeated Webster 2-0 before losing to Denison 1-0. She thrived in their match against Webster, assisting on their opening goal in the 14th minute, while scoring Rose's second goal in the 82nd minute.
Defensive
  • Peyton Potts (Alcoa, Tenn.) Berea College | Centerback | Junior - Peyton Potts, a Junior center back from Alcoa, TN led the Mountaineers' back line to 2 shutouts this week.  Peyton had several output passes, won countless 1v1 battles, and blocked 5 shots in the 2 games to preserve both shutouts.
  • Erin Terry (Indianapolis, Ind.) Hanover College | Back | Senior - Erin Terry led the Panthers in a very tough week of competition, taking on Capital, DePauw, Ohio Wesleyan, and North Central. The senior helped defend the net as they played to two ties. She helped hold North Central to just six shots. At Ohio Wesleyan, her and the defense held the Battling Bishops to a .063 shooting percentage.
  • Vicki Moorman (Crandall, Ind.) Manchester University | Goalkeeper | Sophomore - Moorman was stout in goal for the Spartans on Saturday. Her 11 saves helped Manchester stay in the match, ultimately ending in a 1-1 tie with Great Lakes Christian.
  • Rachel Ginn (Cincinnati, Ohio) Mount St. Joseph University | Centerback | Sophomore - Sophomore Rachel Ginn played 260 out of a possible 270 minutes for the Lions this week. Splitting time between center back and defensive midfield she helped a Lions defense that surrendered 33 shots but only 5 goals for the week. She also came forward to score the team's first goal in the 2-1 win over Marietta.
  • Brooke Spurlock (Lawrence, Kan.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Goalkeeper | Senior - Brooke Spurlock helped lead Rose-Hulman to a 1-1 record, where they defeated Webster 2-0, before losing 1-0 to Dension. In the victory over Webster, Spurlock recorded one save while securing her third shutout of the season. In their game against Denison, Spurlock saved four shots, finishing the week with five total saves and a 83.3% save percentage.
