HCAC 2025-26 Swimming & Diving Notebook, Week 6

CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Swimming & Diving teams competed in week six of the 2025-26 season.

Athletes of the Week: 
Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week:
Trevor Wiley (Indianapolis, Ind.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Swimmer | Sophomore - Trevor Wiley led Rose-Hulman to a first place finish out of ten teams at the Wooster Invitational. He recorded first place finishes in three solo events which came in the 200 butterfly (1:51.94), 200 IM (1:53.00) and 40 IM (4:04.25). Wiley was also a part of two second place finishes in the 400 medley relay (3:28.94) and 800 freestyle relay (7:07.33).

Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week:
Avery Witt (North Vernon, Ind.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Swimmer | Sophomore - Avery Witt helped lead Rose-Hulman to a fourth place finish out of ten at the Wooster Invitational. Witt recorded a first place finish in the 200 backstroke (2:10.60) and a second place finish in the 100 backstroke (59.80). She was also a part of Rose-Hulman's fourth place finish in the 800 freestyle relay (8:09.42) and fifth place finish in the 400 freestyle relay (3:44.72).

Women's Diving Athlete of the Week:
Lindsey Pickering (Wheatfield, Ind.) Anderson University | Diver | Junior - Lindsey Pickering had a personal best in the 1-meter in a double dual against Franklin and Olivet.

Notable Performances:
Men's
  • Noah Singleton (Knox, Ind.) Anderson University | Swimmer | Senior - Noah Singleton posted career bests in the 500 freestyle and 50 butterfly, winning both events at the double dual with Franklin and Olivet.
  • Sam Hittel (Indianapolis, Ind.) Franklin College | Swimmer | Sophomore - Sam Hittel had a great weekend against Anderson and Olivet winning all four of his events. He won the 100 freestyle, 50 freestyle, and the 200 IM on Saturday. Hittel had a personal best in the 50 freestyle and had a non-tapered season-best in the 200 IM. He was also the backstroke leg of the 200 medley relay that won.
Women's
  • Petal Sloan (Cincinnati, Ohio) Franklin College | Swimmer | Junior - Petal Sloan won all three of her individual events this weekend in a double dual meet with Anderson and Olivet. She won the 50 backstroke, the 50 butterfly, and the 100 butterfly with respective times of 30.97, 27.19, and 1:00.76.
  • Alexis Fleming (Monroe, Ohio) Franklin College | Diver | Sophomore - Alexis Fleming had a great day on Saturday winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions. In the 1-meter competition, she scored a 236.35, while scoring a 257.60 in the 3-meter. Both competitions were six dives.
