Athlete of the Week:
Debra Brogan (Cincinnati, Ohio) Mount St. Joseph University | Sophomore - Lions sophomore Debra Brogan continued her hot streak this week. She was the individual champion at the HCAC Preview tournament hosted by Anderson. She fired in an opening round 78, the lowest round of the tournament. And followed that up with a second round 83 for a two day total of 161, two shots clear of second place!
Notable Performances:
- Keylee Goerss (Hamilton, Ohio) Bluffton University | Sophomore - Goerss finished top 5 at the HCAC Preview with a 170, earning HCAC Preview All-Tournament honors in the process. She led the Beavers with a career-low 81 on Saturday.
- Alex Goodwin (Centerville, Ind.) Franklin College | Sophomore – Goodwin put together a strong performance at the HCAC Preview, carding back-to-back rounds of 84 to finish third on the individual leaderboard.
- Cassidy Clark (Fort Wayne, Ind.) Hanover College | First Year - Freshman Cassidy Clark finished tied for ninth to lead Hanover shooting a two round total of 175 (88-87). Her round two saw a birdie on both the front and back nine.
- Erin Nolan (Indianapolis, Ind.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Senior - Erin Nolan recorded a second-place finish at the HCAC Preview, where she posted a score of 163 (+17). Nolan hit 11 over par on day one, where she recorded one birdie. She followed that up by improving to six over par on day two, while posting three birdies on the back nine. For her efforts, Nolan was named to the HCAC Preview All-Tournament Team.
- Macy Saylor (Murray, Ky.) Transylvania University | First Year - At the Golfweek October Classic, Transylvania freshman, Macy Saylor, shot 82-86-79-247 on the Sandestin Resort-The Links course. Saylor led the Pioneers finishing in 71st in the competitive field.
