Athlete of the Week:
Taylor Cooney (Greensburg, Ind.) Franklin College | Guard | Junior - Averaged 21.5 points per game for the Grizzlies over two contests last week…led the team with a career-high 30 points and grabbed eight boards on Wednesday night in a close loss at Hanover…went for 13 points and six rebounds in Saturday's 94-75 win at Anderson.
Notable Performances:
- Izzy Davis (Indianapolis, Ind.) Anderson University | Guard | Sophomore - Izzy Davis averaged 14.5 points as Anderson went 1-1 on the week. She tallied 14 points in Wednesday's win against Defiance. Davis then produced 15 points on Saturday against Franklin.
- Grace Bezold (Covington, Ky.) Hanover College | Forward | Junior - Bezold led the Panthers to a 2-0 week as she surpassed 1,000 career points on Saturday. The junior finished the week averaging 19.0 points per game, netting a game-high 21 points in the win over Earlham, 14 of her 21 points came in the first half. She also shot impressive from the floor, shooting 45.5 percent.
- Hailee Kline (Huntington, Ind.) Manchester University | Guard | Sophomore - Hailee Kline averaged 12.5 points per game, shooting 42.3% from three point range and 56.3% from the floor last week as the Spartans faced Rose-Hulman and Mount St. Joseph. Against the Fightin' Engineers on Wednesday, Kline had 13 points and 7 assists. Against Mount St. Joseph on Saturday, the sophomore guard had 12 points and shot 100% from the free throw line.
- Ashley Black (Westfield, Ind.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Guard | Senior - Black dominated on Wednesday with 21 points on 8-12 shooting and 3-4 from three to help lead the Fightin' Engineers to a 2-0 week with wins over Manchester and Bluffton.
