CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) announced the results of the 2023-24 Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Preseason Poll, with Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology voted to finish first in the men’s race, and Franklin College voted to take the title in the women’s race.
In the men’s poll, the Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers' collected 34 points and four first-place votes narrowly edged out the second place finisher, the Franklin College Grizzlies, who picked up 31 points and two first-place nods of their own. The Transylvania University Pioneers finished in third with 28 points and the last first-place vote, and the Manchester University Spartans rounded out the top half with 19 points.
On the women’s side the Grizzlies finished in first with 34 points and earned five first-place votes. The Pioneers took second with 32 points and the reamining two first-place votes, while the Fightin' Engineers took third with 27 points. The Spartans rounded out the top half of the poll placing fourth with 19 points.
