CARMEL, Ind. – In a vote amongst league coaches, the Manchester University men’s cross country team was picked to finish first in the 2022 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) season.
The Spartans earned the confidence of the coaches, finishing in first in the poll, picking up seven first-place votes in route to 78 points. The defending 2021 champions Earlham College (67) were voted to take second, with two first-place nods, narrowly beating out the third place finishers, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology who grabbed 66 points and a first-place vote. Transylvania University (59) and Franklin College (45) rounded out the top half of the poll.
