In the first game of the day, the No. 2 seed Mount St. Joseph sailed past No. 5 Hanover, 4-1, sending the Panthers into the losers bracket.
Game two featured two teams trying to fight their way out of the losers bracket, with No. 1 seed Transylvania University taking on the No. 4 seed Franklin College. In a gutsy battle, No. 1 Transylvania advanced by a score of 7-6 to face the No. 5 seed Hanover in an elimination game.
In the final game of the day, No. 1 Transylvania edged Hanover 4-1 to make their way to the final day of competition.
Sunday will feature either one or two games in the double elimination tournament. Mount St. Joseph will look to clinch the championship in game one, while Transylvania will look to force a second contest to secure the tournament championships. The first game will start at 12 p.m., with a second game, if necessary, at 2:30 p.m.
