INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Four Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's cross country teams competed at the Blue River Invitational in Shelbyville, Ind. last weekend.
Earlham College finished third out of six teams at the invitational and the Quakers were led by Ana Sosa-Ebert who finished second with a time of 6:33.5.
The Manchester Spartans finished in fourth place as a team at Blue River and junior Hannah Wappes earned first place honors after finishing the 6K race in a time of 6:26.9.
Bluffton University and Anderson University also participated in Shelbyville on Saturday. The Beavers placed fifth while the Ravens finsihed in sixth place at the Blue River Invitational.
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology participated in the John McNichols Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind. The Fightin' Engineers finished third in the women's small school division and were led by junior Mary Petersen.
The junior ran the 5th fastest 5-kilometer time in Rose-Hulman history, recording a time of 19:25 to place third individually in the small school division at the invite.
