GREENWOOD, IN- The Anderson women's cross country team placed first at the Earlham Invitational over the weekend. The Ravens finished with 22 points, followed by Rose-Hulman (52), Earlham (68), Transylvania (112) and IU-East (119).
Sophomore Desiree Maran (Goshen, Ind./H.S.) won the race in a time of 20:30 and was followed by teammate Janell Bender (Shipshewana, Ind./Westview) in second (20:46).
Hanover and Franklin competed at the Greater Louisville Classic Saturday. The Panthers placed eighth and the Grizzlies finished 12th among 42 schools.
Franklin’s Hillary Cain (Rushville, Ind./H.S.) placed second at the meet, finishing second among 339 runners at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park with a 5K time of 18:30.51.
Hanover was paced by Mackenzie Dye (New Castle, Ind./H.S.). The sophomore finished 14th with a time of 19:45.59.
Bluffton, Defiance, and Mount St. Joseph ran at the All-Ohio Championships over the weekend. The Beavers placed 36th, while the Yellow Jackets finished 42nd among 43 schools. Mount St. Joseph did not post a team score at the meet.
This weekend, Rose-Hulman will host the NCAA Division III Pre-Nationals on Saturday.
