Megan Hedinger, Earlham, Volleyball (Defense)

Earlham senior defensive specialist Megan Hedinger (Richfield, Wis. / Germantown) averaged 5.29 digs per set for the Quakers last week and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week on defense.

In a 2-0 week for the Quakers, Hedinger totaled 37 digs in seven sets. Hedinger recorded 22 digs, her eighth 20-dig performance of the season, in Earlham’s 3-1 road win over Rose-Hulman as the Quakers posted their first HCAC victory over the Fightin’ Engineers.

The senior followed up that performance with 15 digs in Earlham’s 3-0 win at home over Bluffton.

The Earlham Quakers (19-11, 6-3 HCAC) will host Anderson University on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinal round of the HCAC tournament.
