Earlham senior Aishat Sadiq (Richmond, Texas / Carnegie Vanguard) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Sadiq won the 60-meter dash at Saturday’s College of Wooster Fighting Scots Invitational, with a time of 8.08 seconds. The senior’s 60-meter time currently ranks as the fastest time in the HCAC this season.
Sadiq also took second in the 200-meter dash (27.82), and ran a leg for Earlham’s first-place team in the 4x200m relay (1:49.34). Altogether, Sadiq contributed to 28 of Earlham’s 115 points on the day between the individual and relay events.
The Earlham Quakers will be back in action on Saturday at the Denison Invitational.
