Women's Indoor T&F Report - Three Teams Travel to RHIT Friday Night Spikes
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Three Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's indoor track and field teams traveled to Terre Haute, Ind. to participate in the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Spikes Invite.
 
Rose-Hulman finished second in the four team meet behind nationally ranked Washington University. Senior Lauren London was second in the 60-meter hurdles (9.34 seconds) with the No. 30 ranked performance in NCAA Division III this season. London also helped the 4-x-200 meter team capture 1st place honors in the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Spikes Opener with a time of 1:49.53.
 
Hanover College placed third at the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Spikes Event with a team total of 20.66. Arig Tong opened her collegiate track career with a first place finish in the mile run at the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Spikes Opener. The freshman finished the 400-meter race in a time of 5:29.53, which ranks fourth best in the region.
 
Panther Erin Browning won the weight throw event at the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Spikes Season Opener over the weekend, tossing a new school-record mark of 15.31 meters. The sophomore broke the previous school mark by nearly an entire meter, while beating the field at the opener by 1.09-plus meters.
 
The Manchester Spartans also participated in Terre Haute at Friday Night Spikes and placed fourth with a team total of 14 points.

Also competing last week were Bluffton, Defiance, Franklin and Transylvania. All school's did not post a team score.
