CARMEL, Ind. – With week two in the books, the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) women's tennis teams had a solid showing around the region.

Athletes of the Week:

Katrina Berban (Seguin, Texas) Anderson University | Freshman – Berban led the Ravens in a big 3-0 week, picking up six separate wins. The first-year notched three singles victories 7-5, 6-4 IU-Kokomo | 6-2, 6-2 Webster | 6-0, 6-0 Fontbonne) and three doubles wins (8-3, IU-Kokomo | 8-3 Webster | 8-3, Fontbonne).

Notable Performances:

  • Naomi Bhagat (Waukesha, Wis.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Senior – Bhagat helped Rose-Hulman finish 1-1 with a 1-1 mark at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles last week. Bhagat provided Rose-Hulman's lone point against NAIA scholarship IU-Kokomo with a 3-set win at No. 1 singles. She teamed with Breanna Rogers for an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles victory to help propel the Fightin' Engineers past NCAA D-III Greenville 6-3.
  • Porsche Robinson (Houston, Texas) Transylvania University | Sophomore - Robinson led the Pioneers throughout a successful weekend at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational. The sophomore tallied a 2-1 record in singles play and teamed with fellow Sophomore Jessica Burton to post a 2-0 doubles record.
